The father of my children and the man whom I married for time and all eternity has returned to his Creator last night. I am grateful for the condolences that have been extended and for the comfort that the knowledge of the Great Plan of Happiness brings.
I know he is in a better place now—a place where he is free from all the physical bondage of the illness that has plagued him for so long. There he can assist in the work without the debilitating effects of his condition. He is now free to laugh, mingle, talk and visit with fellow departed friends and family. I can imagine that he must be very excited to see his beloved father again after a long while…and my sister…and grandma…and his grandparents and all those who have gone before him. It must be a very happy reunion.
Being a man who has always honored his priesthood, I know he has entered into the rest of the Lord and will continue to magnify his priesthood even more so now that he has already gone beyond the veil.
Goodbye for now, Joey. Thank you for everything. Thank you for your unconditional love, your understanding, and kindness. Thank you for giving me two wonderful children who have been the greatest source of happiness in my life. We love you and we know that this isn’t the end, but just the beginning of an eternal life. We will see you again! Families are forever!!! Keep with you our tightest hugs and warmest kisses.

Please accept our sincere condolence for your husband’s passing. It really is such a comfort to know that this is just a temporary separation and that ultimately, we shall be reunited in the eternities conditioned upon our faithful obedience to the commandments and in honoring the covenants we made in the holy temple.
We have enjoyed your spiritual insight in your many postings.
God bless you.
Thank you, Elder Ilagan.
Our deepest condolences, Sister Cherry.
Thanks, Patrick.

Hi Ate Cherry,
Your spirit of hope and gratitude amidst this time is inspiring. Having a vision for the eternities really makes our mortal trials and sufferings temporary and fade in significance compared to what our Heavenly Father has prepared for us in His presence.

Hi Cherry,
Haven’t been in touch for a long time. My kids and i were just watching some videos last night and thought about your family when we saw Justin and Jessica when they were still very young in some of the ward’s activities kaya na-homesick kami. You have a great family and the Lord has blessed you so much with both opportunities and challenges in life. Know that we are always mindful of you all kahit malayo kami. Be strong and keep the faith (i have no doubt about it)!
Give our love to Jessica and Justin, too! Miss you all!!!

Can’t hold my tears while reading your Eulogy for Joey…
I was so touched because I know the sincere truth about
it. I am a witness, his mother-in-law, about his true love
to you and his dedication to his family and the Church
while he was still healthy in physical, mind and Spirit.
We know that our God will restore everything in us which
were damaged and victimized by our Spiritual Enemy, in
our second life. And yes, what a happy family reunion
now beyond the veil… Please give my condolence and
sympathy to his mother , brothers and sisters and the rest
of them. My thoughts and prayers are with you..
Please inform me when and where he will be laid to rest.
Thanks and be comforted and at peace, liebe Grüsse von
Mom.
Thanks, Mom. Joey’s interment will be on Tuesday. He will be laid to rest next to his dad at Eternal Gardens.

You’re right he is now happily reunited to your family who have gone beyond the veil. Take care and regards. When are you visiting us here in Vancouver again?.

It is simply heartwarming how you manage to uplift and inspire everyone given the situation that you are in. So sorry I wasn’t able to go to the wake with Mega and the rest of the gang… I hope this cyberhug will do until I see you again!
Thanks, Deo.
Although I don’t personally know you, I came upon your blog and wanted to let you know how truly sorry I am for your loss but am in awe of your certainty that you will see your husband again. I too believe that Families are Forever and one day I will join my sister, mother and father and anyone else who has passed before me. God be with you. ~ Lisa
Thank you, Lisa. Much appreciated.
Hi Sister Cherry,
You may not know me personally but I have read many posts in your blog and I am always edified at your insights on the riches of eternity. Everytime your post appears in my inbox, I can’t help but open and read what you wrote even if I have urgent things to do. You always lift my spirit. Whenever I’m faced with a trial, I would search for articles in your blog because I want to feel the sweet companionship of the Spirit. Together with my scriptures, my faith is strengthened.
My condolences to you and your family. I know too that families can be together forever and that his separation from you in this mortal world is but a small moment compared to the length of time in the eternities.
I hope you’ll continue to inspire us. You’re a blessing!
FYI: I really don’t know why I’m receiving emails (blog posts) from you. Hehe. 🙂
Happy to know you,
Neri
Thank you so very much, Neri. You’ll never know how much your words have touched my heart. You have encouraged me to keep writing no matter what the circumstances are. It warms my heart to know that there are people like you whom I have reached out to and have somehow been blessed by my thoughts and writings. I truly appreciate your words and I’d like to express my sincerest gratitude from the bottom of my heart.
Dear Sis Cherry,
My wife and I wanted you to know that we are always uplifted both temporal and spiritual every time we read your postings. You’re such a very wonderful sister and we are so much thankful for the knowledge we gain from you.
I don’t know if we already met, if so please accept my apology of not recognizing you. it was only today that i’ve read your message about the sudden death of your husband joey and was so sad upon knowing it. You’re such a strong woman an of strong faith and that quality makes you easily overcome that challenge not to mention the strong testimony you have in the church.
Families can be Together Forever, and we will see again in the next life to come. Stay as sweet as you are and continue sharing your wonderful and inspiring messages to us.
Our condolences,
Gaspar Family
Hi Bong, I’m not sure if we know each other either, but thank you for reading my posts and for your condolences. My best regards to you and your family.
